About the area

Stockwood open space nature reserve is right on the doorstep of the property. A great open area for dog walks, once part of a working farm, the space fell into disuse. Avon Wildlife Trust took over management in 1981 and it is now jointly managed by the council and the Trust.

Also located within 25 minutes of Bristol Zoo Gardens, The Wild Place Project, The Downs, the historic Clifton Suspension Bridge, the SS Great Britain plus hundreds of bars and restaurants.

The historic Roman City of Bath is twenty minutes’ drive away (11 miles) and makes a fantastic day out with the Roman Baths museum complex, street theatre, many excellent bars, restaurants and the Bath Thermae Spa – featuring natural hot spring water swimming areas and spa therapy experiences. You can spend a whole day lounging in natural hot spring water pools and being pampered! Then there are live play theatres in both Bristol and Bath, like the Bristol Hippodrome, the Bristol Old Vic and the Bath Theatre Royal, where you can enjoy a show of your choice after a fabulous local pre-show dinner.

Bus stops are no more than a 2 minute walk away with routes that can take you to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol’s large, indoor shopping centre. Or to the centre Bristol where you can find Cabot Circus shopping quarter.
